Weird Noise.

I have a similar problem, not with the resonator, but when my car hits about 40mph, I get the same droning noise that Boo45 talked about. Like a slow droning that increases as my speed increases. Its not in the tires, already had them checked, and has the correct pressure. It's nothing that is connected with the rpm's, because while crusing at 40+ I'll put the car into neutral, rev for a sec, but the noise remains the same.

I'm SO puzzled as to what the noise is. Something suspension related maybe?

Any input from the great 6thGen family is much appreciated.

does it change in pitch and/or intensity as you go faster? does it get louder or softer when taking corners?

sounds like a wheel bearing to me. get it checked asap i've seen tires pop off on a hard bump/stop. (not alot but still, do you want to be "that guy?"

sounds like that bearing man. Do u hear or feel any pops where the bearing could be running on top of each other or trying to climb each other

search for wheel bearings. i was lucky enough to have to replace both front ones last fall

It does change pitch/intensity as I go faster. Haven't noticed anything while taking corners, because I don't take corners at 40 mph lol.

I don't feel or hear any "pops". Maybe I'm not that far along yet? Gonna talk to my mechanic this Monday, and have him check out the bearings. What would these run me? Labor and parts? Or is it an easy DIY, because I'm all about getting it done myself lol
