^Yeah it was time to take the plunge. My apartment rent was in mortgage territory already and it was going up another $100 next year. Not to mention interest rates are stupid low and it’s a buyers market. So it made sense. I’m just glad I will FINALLY have a garage!

Okay, is that thread old or is the guy still in business? Was their communication with you good and all that? How much did he charge you for em? You can PM me if you want. Thanks for mentioning that, and everything else you mentioned about the GC’s, you really helped clear them up for me.

This is his thread.

Promo code is " MODIFIED " to save you a good amount.

Ill send you the PM's I had with his associate and him.

For some reason it won't let me send private messages. I'll just post here since it isn't personal.

It won't let me post the quotes I had with him. I'll try later today when I get a chance to get on a computer.

But their service was okay, not the greatest, but enough to care for their customer. He said Ground Control had shipping problems and they were stacked up on orders. Took 15 days or so to get my Koni Yellows and 25-30 days for my sleeves.

The prices are decent for the GC's + Yellows, but I will need to send him a pm about the GC only price.

Chris, for your reference, $395 + $30s/h is the lowest price I have found so far. It's a bit cheaper if you pay in CDN funds.

:lawl:

Steven, was there an extra charge for custom spring rates?

I dont know, he never responded back with custom rates. Pretty sure he will charge depending on what rates you're looking for.

Installed my JTC short shifter today and swapped the old sedan center beam/bumper support for the coupe to go along w/my 01-02 coupe bumper.

where
brother blew his subwoofer, so i took his old amp (which i gave him a few years ago) and hooked up one of my 2 subs to it. sounds so much better now that it has some proper power. i wish i knew where i put my RCA splitters so i could still use my 4ch amp for the other sub, just for a little bit more kick

Nice Elio. How does that work with slack and what not if the shifter cable is being pushed back toward where it's mounted? Or does it only move an inch or something and it's not a big deal?

Usually short shifters are only "short" on the top side. The bottom end that connects to the linkage past the pivot point is still the same length. :)

Yup, the driver side cable stays on the same place, The other one is positioned differently. It also attaches with a bolt and nut compared to the pin that the OEM shifter uses.

Chris, After installing the SS kit and took it out for a test drive I was able to tell the difference in the throw immediately. It glides smoothly between gears and its that much of a pleasure to drive. I can't believe how much of a difference this makes.

I can't compare JTC to the short shifter Pspec used to make. This is my first SS kit but I can tell you that compared to the stock one the difference is night and day.

Installation was a bit of a PITA because trying to remove the top square cover from where the pivot point is on the OE shifter itself. Now that I have done it I can easily do another one because now I know where to impact with the hammer and screw driver to get it loose.

I'm very happy with this SS kit. I'll be re-doing the Mounts/flywheel/clutch and then I'll be able to get the most of the kit.
