225's on an 8.5" wheel? there is no stretch to that. but a 22 offset will giv you great poke

In that case, what offset would I need to have the wheel sit flush? Should it be +36, +35 or +30, +29

Wondering how it would look if the wheel is non-stretch with poke?

Look above your post for a idea.

Agreed. I'm still wanting to know which offset to go with the clear the RL caliper and have the wheel sit flush. Using Millz' wheel, an offset of +36/+35 would sit about the same (extend 2/3mm) but I'm not sure if it will clear the RL caliper. Would I need to go to a +30/+29 or even +22?

Fairoze, any ofset in the +20 range will clear. It's when you start getting in to the +30's that you might start having issues. I think most 18's/19's will clear just fine.

Also, for an 8.5" wide rim, 215 will give you a bit of stretch(depending on the brand of tire), but 225 is going to fit normally.

IIRC, Vimal's current rims are in the low +20 range.

In that case, I'll go with a 19x9.5 rim. It'll be a good stretch on the 225/35 and the offset would need to be +22 (+12 and +34 are the others available)

There's also 19x10.5 available but I don't think I could go that wide without some major modifications...

Sorry for sounding like a newb...for stretch I am guessing that the tire has to be past it's max width spec? For example, a 225/35/19 can fit on a 9" rim at it's max so I would need to go 9.5" to obtain a proper stretch?

There are a few examples on here of various tire sizes on 8.5" - 10" widths.

I know changroo was running a 10" wide rear and I think Fundillo is as well, and their tires sizes are posted.

225 would really stretch on a 9.5" and again, depending on the tire you go with, it might not stretch well.

Stretch depends on the tires too. I have 225’s on my 8” wide wheels and the fit perfectly. But if I went with a 215, there would be some mild stretch. So on an 8.5” width wheel, there would likely be a mild stretch with 225’s, and even more with 215’s. At least with the tires I’m using. I’ve heard Falkens run a little smaller.

But you don't need to be stretching tires unless you're slamming the car and doing all that stance business.

So given that I'm on Eibach sportlines and koni yellows lower perch I'm lowered about 2.75" and I'm not planning on going any lower.

With that stance it would be better to just have the wheels sit flush rather than stretch and poke? Right now I have very little if any gap and the current stock wheels are not tucking.
