If you want I'll sell you my oem rep. Downside to that is one broke off to get it to fit + it's some kind of fiberglass material

Is that the one that lip-kit.com or whatever is selling? The replica that they made too short? (FAIL!). I can get that one here locally, but I dont want to have to cut my rocker panels to make it fit.

You don't have to cut oem side. Well the old owner did it that to make it fit his 01 accord.

This pretty much just slips over the oem sides

That sounds like the same ones that dont fit the 98-00 either. I have not seen one replica that fit properly, besides, are not the 98-00 and 01-02 rocker panels the same size?

Oh sedans might be the same, my bad. Coupes obviously are different.

I didn't know coupes were different, but I guess it makes sense since they didn't make the underspoiler for the 01-02 (one of many 6th gen fails)

Tell me about it. The 6thgens should have been better from the factory. They (EX’s at least) should have had optional heated seats and heated mirrors. The V6’s should have gotten a manual option. And to your point, every model should have had an HFP kit available. It’s Honda’s flagship car…

Anyway, take a look at the rocker panels of a 98-00 coupe, and those of a 01-02, and you’ll see how different they are.

never once found a need for that :lawl:

And to your point, every model should have had an HFP kit available.

just looking at a 6thgen at a manufacturer's auto show would have been to scan through a sea non hfp kits and monotony back then except for the coupe tail lights.

they only started going nutso at auto shows with Accords during the 7thgen introduction, I remember it well :lawl:

you could go up to the display and talk to the spokesman and he would say "why yes, you can in fact have yours completely made out of lobster meat! Are you kidding me you fat **** American? Are you kidding me..."

if you can find me a 6thgen at either the Tokyo Auto Show or DC Auto Show, something famous, from the years 1998-2002 on the internet I'll be amazed.

because of reasons

If we had done proper research and realized where the CG was made available half of us would have probably left it alone. To be honest the only thing I liked about the the coupe was the rear tails reminded me of the NSX which is my favorite car. And the only reason why I have one is because I needed to replace my CLS and I needed something I could deal handle with insurance at the time. After putting this amount of time and if I knew back then what I know now, I would have left this alone. haha
