I was visiting NYC over the weekend with a couple of friends. As I entered the Adirondacks park on the 87 south in Vermont after the borders, I noticed people were going increasingly fast. They where doing at least 130kph and the rangers didn't seem to care, they went after noone.
The worst was just after the Albany turnpike where I was getting tailgated at 150 KPH while people on the fast lane were doing 160 (which I won't complain about, because I hate driving slowly throughout long distance)
It seems police in the north-east are pretty loose regarding speeding. Where I live, in Quebec, law enforcers are quite strict.
What is the level of tolerance regarding speeding in your area? Is the police strict or rather tolerant?
