Sounds like a wheel bearing... since you installed a header I'd double check the heat shields.

I have a rear passenger leaking strut, it feels like its blown. Whenever you hit a bump in the road it feels like the rear is gonna swing sideway cause its not absorbing anything. Thats my experience, I need to get it replace someday.

ya thats what my civic did when I went over the hill to fast is swung the back end out so hard the car skidded sideways a little. not fun.

+1 on the wheel bearings. Sometimes you can get a small stone stuck in your brake pad that will cause a small grinding sound, I had it happen to me before incase you're wondering.

ill go push on the struts today and see how much they move and let you guys know whats happening.

can i re grease the wheel bearings or will they need replacing?

hondaluver83: did the stone in the brake pad make a constant grinding sound? mine is an off and on grind.

^

Check if anything is coming in contact with the axle, if end links are loose, if there is anything out of the ordinary hanging under there or moving freely.

When I turboed, I forgot to mount the resistor box and it fell through and was rubbing and bouncing off the axle.. :skurred:

Luckily I noticed and affixed it.

Whats so funny? A bad engine moutn will cause your engine to rock back and forth.. and since the CAI is connected to the Engine, it will also move... I do work on cars almost every day

i think he was laughing at this, engine mounts was something i thought of too, havnt been able to look in depth into that yet though

The little gnomes inside your engine bay are hard at work destroying your car with their little hammers and grinders.

Definitely your CAI, that happened to my car... wierd vibration noise around 2-2.5k and also happens when you turn on the ac... this what happened to my CAI after ignoring it for some time

thanks for that pic, it inspired me to look at mine and mine isnt all the way though but its def getting there. that probably just saved my intake. i put a piece of those rubber door guards around the metal where it rubs and put a piece of tape over the intake to look at later to see if its worn thought so i can make sure the rubbing stopped

They're sealed bearings, you must replace them.

after pushing on the struts today they all move just the same, the front right one squeaks a little, i think where its just leaky and lost oil or whatever though.

also any idea how much it costs to replace the wheel bearings?

Usually $100 for the bearing plus labor. Just have a shop diagnose it.
