We had such a problem up here that a bunch of people were getting tickets for texting while driving. A bluetooth headset is like $20 for something that actually works, I just don't get it. I have to be on the phone a lot when I drive so I have had bluetooth in my car for way longer than the law exists.

since im drivin with a 5spd its hard for me to talk on the phone while driving
nd the law is not stupid... i was drivin on the freeway @ around 8pm nd this car looked like he wanted to change lanes so i gave him space to get into my lane but once his tires got to lane divider he would jerk back into his lane. he did this like 2 times so i switched lanes. he almost hit like 2 other cars nd i thought he was drunk but wen i looked into the car it was an asian girl talkin on her cell phone.
that **** dangerous. i only txt on redlights. takes me like 4 redlights to finish my 1 txt lol

Solution: Put the call through the speaker phone and put your phone down low.

Yeah. It's also in place in Hawaii I know. Except there the law is no electronic devices whatsoever, including ipods and everything.

Lol I know someone who does that... but 1) I feel that would be more dangerous, and 2) My car's a little noisy sometimes so that would be hard on the person on the other end.

About 2 months back I seen a kid drive straight off the road into a tree and the reports say he was texting. I rarely ever text while driving and if I do it's always at a red light or in a parking lot.
