Hi I'm Cory and I'm new to 6GA. I brought my car a couple months ago and didn't really have money to spend on it. I really want to lower the car and I know coilover is he best way to go but it is too expensive for me as of now. I would like to know if its possible to use these coil spring compressor adjustable for now until I can purchase coilover. Have anyone try them? Are they safe? Thanks in advance.

you get what you pay for dude...

f&f type II's--- $750ish
f&f type I's---$600ish
koni yellows+ground control's--- $850ish
Megan racing coilovers--- $700ish
D2 Racing Coilovers--- $1000ish
Tien coilovers--- $1000ish
Tokico Illuminas+ground controls --- $850ish

your idea --- $10

you tell us if it seems like a good safe idea...

looks like a tool i would use to put springs on a sportbike... not rely on to hold me safely to the ground in a 3300lb car

I've only seen those on trucks..

Either stick with stock suspension, settle with lowering springs, or save for coilovers.

I'd choose the latter.

Never do anything “for now” when it comes to something like suspension. Keep saving your money until you can afford a set of coilovers or a shock/spring combo. As said above, do it right the first time. ;)

Yeah, that looks like an accident waiting to happen. I can just see hitting a wicked pot hole and that thing popping off and busting some **** up in your fender well. Might was well just cut the springs. lol

Lol. I was thinking the exact same thing. It looks like a spring compressor to take off the stock spring away from the stock shocks.

Imagine running into a pothole and that thing just pops off. BOOM! bye bye blown shocks and hello concrete wall.

Go with what RedRyder says. Do it right the first time and you'll never regret it again.
