I use em interchangeably all the time....but i seem to use wheels when referring to stock wheels and rims when talking about aftermarket.

jk. Rims for the metal, wheels for the combo. Tires for the rubber.

I'm starting to call the metal the wheel though, so I may be changing.

I say wheels and im black.ROFL! or D's. or shoes. or shiny thangs. haha. no but wheels. Sounds more experinced i guess. like engine and motor, and stickers and decals. wow my examples are of the chain. or off the hook. see look i got a million of em up my sleeve. HAHA

At work (I'm the tire guy)

A Wheel is: A tire and rim mounted together.

The phrase "Nice Wheels", normally we are talking about how the wheels look on the car.

Tires are useless without Rims, Rims are... semi-useless without tires.
