I think the cost/performance ratio is best when you just take your own engine and build it up.
The F23 is a real nice engine to build off, it has a lot of potential and will take a beating. Some members have already proved it's capabilities NA or Turbo.
OBD2 H22's are a favorite, because DOHC somehow means superior in the Ricer World. We all know that if demand goes up, price goes up. Simple.
H22's are a great engine, but it's not a real cheap engine to swap. It's better to just buy a prelude. They basically weigh the same as our 4cyl accords anyways.
K24 block and K20 might bring the best of both worlds, Torque and a high revving engine. I say, why go through the trouble of doing this swap if your not going to allow the k20 head do it's job. Find a way to safely allow the k24 block rev high. If this can't be done or there are doubts, just get the whole K20 engine itself.
Personally if I was to swap any engine, it would probably be from a TSX.
