basically the shop did an f20b swap for his car for almost 3k.

They gave it to him halfway done as the car wont rev past 2.5k unless he feathers the pedal.

The shop claims he needs a better exhaust and it kinda giving him the run around.

basically it sounds like the mechanic cant finish the job and just handed him over a dirty swap brought you by "E $hit, I mean E-shift performance"

Interesting. The revving issues almost sounds like that have the MAP and TPS sensor connectors switched.

The OP is pretty screwed considering the time frame he has to figure this out. His only choices are to to leave the car and have them fix it, pay for it, pick it up and bring it somewhere else, or try to sue them in small claims, (which is incredibly difficult to do in these cases, usually ends up costing way more than whatever the issue is at hand is.

I'd like some more details though. What ECU are you running? The wiring is identical to the h22, so if that was done correctly there shouldnt be any issues, (obviously).

I've raced with Eshift before down in VA. Their car was meh. I didnt get a chance to talk to them though.

Can we get some pics of the work that has been done? The more detail the better.

Worst case scenario, send me the harness and I'll go through it and fix whatever needs to be done.

All of these shops started with honda swaps, theyre as easy as they get" .. God E-Shift Perfor****, i hope you close down because you couldnt even back up a word about a so called "easy cake swap" .. Idk what to do.. school starts the day after, and i dont even have a car to run with.. NO ONE EVER GO THERE FOR ANYTHING. BE WARNED

I'm goin with this theory at the moment, fairly sure they have the same plugs and are relatively close in vacinity to each other so you can quite easily plug the wrong wires into the wrong hole??

I hope you get your car running so you can continue on with your education. (I'm being serious) no sarcasm intended.

It happens all the time. The car will run like that, but it will not be happy and it will exhibit some interesting behaviors when it does.

That should be a pretty easy thing of him to check on his own though right? I know both sensors have the same connector and they're easily switched.
OP is the car with you? Can you try switching the MAP and TPS connectors to see if that fixes your problem?
