Why would clear ones be "illegal as hell"? They must reflect light if they're turned off and the brake lights have to be red, signals have to be red or orange, plus white reverse lights. Aren't clear lights basically the same as altezzas? :lawl:

Personally I don't like the tint, I can't see that **** at night and it pisses me off.

"Bro, you just rear ended me, bro."
"Maybe because I couldn't see the goddamn lights asshole"
etc. etc.

here's the deal. any legit mechanic who knows the book can vouch for this as well. the tails can be clear but there must be a red reflector on either side of the back end. hence, the rx330. i called out my teacher about 8 years ago about this when he told me they were illegal, did some research and there you go. you will notice on anything oem with clear tails, there are reflectors underneith somewhere. if you want to get away with aftermarkets, mold some reflectors somewhere so they look somewhat stock. you'll have a better chance of escaping a ticket. as for tint on tails, its all illegal. legally can't have anything at all on em. dude's tails look sick as hell though. in pa there is a loophole that has gotten me out of a ticket for tinted tails, that is the little dot approval number stamped on em, you can use that to your advantage if you still have a little red showin through, not so dark that they're black black.

Like I said, they must reflect light aka have a reflector. I figured the clears that gil has probably has a white reflector molded into the lens like OEMs do.

And Philly law =/= Cali law =/= MN law

Mechanics aren't versed on traffic laws, but I can make sure your bulbs work :)

It's not just about the springs, bro.

lmao

Let's see them with the rear lights on too, like in the same light but with the lights on.

I've seen darker, like you can still see the red color so they're not that bad.

Ill have to take some tomorrow. But ill take some at night with the lights on so you can see how much it comes through at night.
