Okay, so I was outside CONTINUING to try to flatten out my front lip I just bought with a heat gun. I got every part successfully, but when I go to put it up to my car i notice it isn't angled to wrap around the bumper as it should. I figure, no bigie, I can just push each end to where it's supposed to go.
...and this is what I get:

I tried for an hour to push this down using the heatgun. No matter what I would do, it would either divide into 2 half as big bumps, or just move an inch over and still have the same bump. It's like there's too much material and it won't all lay flat. :madrun:

I know I'm supposed to have to reshape the lip a little bit with it being polyu. But god damn after over 3 hours I think there's something wrong. :furious:

Vlad, that wouldn't work. If i just hold the front of it onto the bumper, it will come about a half inch from the bumper where each end of the air dam is. This is what I'm talking about when I say I have to forcibly wrap it around the bumper. Like the lip isn't curved as it should be. Lmk if that didn't make sense, because it's hard to explain.

Jordan, it's the polyu mugen.

I see what your saying. I have the same lip. But mine never did that? I just screw one side on the wrapped it around and it fit like it should. Which model bumper are you fitting it on?

Jordan, on my 1999 sedan bumper. So yours pretty much "hugged" your bumper when you put it on? Because mine comes no where close to "hugging" it. Like I said, it's like it is not curved enough.

No it's the right size. But it's like when it was made, it wasn't curved enough. So everything looks normal, but when i put it against the front bumper, I have to force each end to reach where it screws in at the tire. So that makes the front want to fold or bend, resulting in that ugly bump.

So I'm guessing I need to return it?
I paid $80 for it, I don't think I should be having to cut it in an obvious place just to get it to look halfway decent.
Of course the seller won't be "back" until the 27th.

heat both ends and pull to make it fit. or take it off and let it sit in the sun for awhile
