hey whatshappening guys..i was driving on the highway today..and all of a suden my cd player whent off and on again ..and all of a sudden i noticed my neddles of my gauges whent down and bak to normal and again it happend like 12 times while i was rolling and all the lights in the car including the gauges lights where diming?? and everytime and neddles would drop the maintenance lights started to flash ..whats could this be? the battery maybe the alternator???need help guys.

Sounds like your alternator is having trouble keeping a charge. Check your alternator, battery, and engine grounds.

Has happened to me too recently a few times.. But not 12, mine did it like twice or three times.

This happened to me too a couple of days ago but not 12 times lol..I couldnt hear anything from my speakers but the radio was on but weirdly it started working yesterday. Im thinking its my alternator cuz i know i need to change it

I know I am the outlier here on this but everything you just mentioned happened when my ignition switch was dying. there really is no way to check it though, try the alternator like everybody else said.
Check your charging system first, battery power and alternator charge, etc. If that's ok then it'll most likely be in the ignitions switch (common issue, recalled) so have it looked over before it leaves you stranded. One way to check the ignition is "sometimes" if you wiggle the ignition/ket while the car is running and it shuts off or does what you decribed then it'll most likely be the problem... Good Luck!

anyways, something like this happened to my brother but the car died and he pulled over to the side of the road, it was the alternator in this case

yup either one of those things... happens to me on my car once in a while but not all that stuff only the speakers dim down then back up... but then again i do have a system so i might need a cap., 
but then again i could be wrong...lol
