How to adjust coilovers for dummies.
-start out with coilovers already on the car
-jack up the car
-remove tire
-remove the lower bolt (so the lower mount is not attatched to anything)
-have someone step on the rotor so you have slack to adjust
-twist c
-twist b
-move to desired height
-lock c and b
-put on the lower bolt
-put on tires
-lower jack
-done.. if you still dont get it something is wrong with you. dont overthink it
The other way just confuses the hell out of people.. this way is dummy-proof. Both get the job done
You may need an air wrench to do this. That bolt can get pretty tight in there.
Why is this thread 6 pages long? The issues were fully explained on the second page
@chriskarel and jdmwhatever- if you guys were simply looking at one of your coilovers while reading the before-mentioned posts, you would see that the responses were logical and easy to follow. If you are such noobs at doing this then you need to do one of 2 things.
A) have a friend who knows what they are doing help you or,
B) pay a shop to do it and ask if you can watch and ask questions as they do it
Yes, everyone was a noob once. Some just need more help the others. Now that out of the way...i believe the idea on how to adjust coil-overs has been explained right?? I believe even FF was emailed for instructions as well???
Hence mods/admins lets close before we go to more pages of the same stuff being posted over and over and over.
