Yeah, the tint and paint repair is pretty cool. I hate the black box idea and the adaptive brake light idea seems like it will only cause more problems than it will solve.. "Oh, I'm sorry. I thought that brake light meant 'sort of braking hard' not 'really braking hard'" The biosensor idea is nice to keep ppl from stealing cars..but it would suck to have to pull ur gloves off just to get in your car if its like 10° outside (like it'll be here this weekend).

Oh and I love that true autopilot picture.. Airplane ftw!

i agree....it's also taking the control away from the driver.

x3.. but on one hand i can understand thats the ultimate goal. If we centralize traffic control then that could reduce accidents, decrease commute times, prevent deaths, etc etc.

I'm just glad I don't have to suffer through that lol

I see what you are saying but i disagree. Well, only on cars that have LED taillights. They don't even need to be adaptive, they just need to light up more slowly like an incandesent bulb. Myself, and many of my friends have just slammed on the brakes when the person in front just tapped on their brakes down a hill or on the freeway out of reaction. Now that i'm used to them, it's not a big deal but it's irratating as hell. Or the drivers that keep their foot over the brakes and have a damn strobe show going on.

I know where you're coming from but that kinda goes back to driver education. There's no reason to even touch the brakes unless you need to slow down (rapidly) or stop. I've been behind people that touch their brakes every 200ft when its snowing and sometimes even going up/down hill on dry pavement. It applies not only to the person being an idiot with their brake pedal, its also the people behind that person that need to pay attention. I know I've had a few close calls b/c I was drinking something, changing a cd, etc.

If our citizens would take driving a little more seriously there wouldn't be a need for all these gagdets and options. Not that they're a bad thing, new technology is always great, but sometimes you just gotta question why something was invented in the first place and then what price are you or your insurance company going to be paying when all this new stuff gets broken? Major $$
