What would be a good place to attach the shock sensor to. I was thinking to the frame on bottom side of the rear deck?

The recommended place by most manufacturers is the steering column. That way you get vibrations of the car as well as the shock of someone trying to jack a car up trying to get the wheels off or being towed.

Wire bundles may move a little too much and you may have many false alarms.

Now I'm reaching reallll far back, but here it goes. Affixing it to anything metal will yield less sensitivity but fewer false alarms, affixing it to a loom of wire will pick up just about ANYTHING at the expense of false alarms. Now, and this was back a few years ago, all the remote start systems by DEI had separate and adjustable shock sensors and that sounds like what you have. Try a few places with a differing sensitivities, you'll find what's right for you.

The ignition harness is much thicker wires, which should yield less sensitivity as you're finding out. Try attaching it to a smaller gauge wire loom.
