I agree with Ryan. Those laws are simply criminal themselves.

And in MD, if the cop asks you to search your car and you say no, simply saying no is probably cause. So either way, you are going to get searched lol.

you sure are lucky.... i had the same senario except the fact that i had to go to the sheriff's office being that they never heard of a h23 vtec in an accord... and the cop kept mentioniing that his wife's accord doesnt have this engine.... so i told him that his wife's car sucks and its a fagmatic... so i was free to go.... cops are just something

HAHAHAHA u got so much to learn... you wouldn't last a day in my shoes! just so u know thats all u see is cops pulling over gangsters drug dealers etc etc and if he told the cop with a face that he didnt know anything about the car the cops arent gonna interigate him because of that... trust me!
how old are you?
ryry wouldnt last a day in so cal, but i wouldnt last a day with snow. :p
ive been there a few times...
honestly, what state doesnt have flaws? you are saying that california has a high cost of living and fewer jobs. correct me if i am wrong, but we are in a RECESSION currently. THE ENTIRE UNITED STATES. there are people getting laid off from work all over the country, not just California. The high cost of living varies from place to place, depending on which city you live in. I dont see why you think all the cops are ignorant and dont do what they are supposed to do. there are cops like that in every state and in every country. there will be profiling and there will always continue to be profiling no matter where you go. Let me ask you this, why would you put up with all teh nasty weather during teh winter season out where you live? Why would people put up with all the racist rednecks? As you yourself claim you live in sh1thole, wisconsin, why would you say 'fvck socal'?
i never said any state or area was perfect. look at how many people live in the LA area (12 million?)...there are fewer people here but that means less competition for land, jobs, etc. i'm saying...things are a lot different in the midwest. there aren't, say, 100 people vying for the same job opening. even in the recession, its less than that here.

there are bad/stupid/ignorant cops here...especially the highway partrol...the madison pd isn't bad, monona pd arent either. they only pull people over for being stupid like racing, vehicle infractions like a headlight out, driving drunk, etc. get you blinders off man...we have a cruising ordinance on our "strip" but the enforcement is so prevalent on friday/saturday nights during the summer, most problems are solved before they start. we got pulled over ONCE (in a friends car) cause a DIFFERENT subaru was racing, not us. we used to have racing problems (east wash ave, especially agriculture drive and american parkway) but those have mostly gone. still 16 year olds out...like we used to do...BUT ive never heard ANYONE say they were profiled.

NO ONE who i talked to was ever mic'd just because they "look" fast. getting on it too hard...obviously trying to sqeek between gears...you'll get pulled over. i gotta give it to the madison pd...they do a good job eliminating the trouble makers from the scene.

about wisconsin...i was born here, raised here, and my family lives here...everyone but two of my dad's cousins (one in CA, one in NM). why do i put up with it? i HATE winter, i HATE snow but i love fall and spring. if i had somewhere to go (would love to end up in AZ) i would go. i'd just need a place to live and work which is hard to find when you're 1500 miles away. there are more "rednecks" in the south. i generally dont like rednecks up here but i'm cool with a few. rednecks are generally pretty cowardly when it comes down to action...lots of words with no response. this state generally does blow but what can i do besides move? i cant change the weather...

yup...they'll make you wait while they bring in the dog. i got pulled over by a k-9 unit and i could hear the dog barking. so yeah...the cop asked me if i had anything in the car...i said no...he had no reason to search so he didn't even ask. he said "i'm a k-9 unit and ill search the car if i have a reason to...you can hear my dog in my car."

he was a drug/alcohol enforcement unit, but i was pulled over for a different reason (headlight out).
Ryan,

I guess your argument has good points.. but why the ____ did you diss SoCal?

like most people, i was born here and i love california for what it is. great weather, tons of people to be able to hangout with, the beach, the women:naughty:, list goes on and on. Honestly because of my experiences living here i now have no respect for the police, at least in my area. And yeah, every time i pass a cop i'm just waiting to be pulled over but it's something that i have to deal with and because of it i've been keeping up with my legal rights to what a police officer can and can't search and or ticket me for.... which kind of pisses them off when i call them on doing something illegal. And that leads to me respecting them less... but w/e i'm here cause the weather is amazing, and i know so many people here i don't want to leave and start a new life just because i don't like the police.

Born and raised in california! Cali FTW! Anyways, I agree and relate with you here. I find myself having to look in my rearview mirrors for cops every 10 seconds, I swear.. Been pulled over 7 times from January to April just for the simple fact that I have a honda. It's usually the freakin' asian cops that try to get me most of the time.. asking me if I got tattoos or on probation and shi+ like that. So annoying.. I always gotta drive with the windows down during the night time too. I know it's my fault for having tints but it's just another reason for them to pick on me and pull me over for it.

Ryan,

The things is, what you said is not just dissing a few members, but a whole bunchload of people in general. There is no justification for blatantly going off on a region.. If you were to reword it to ____ SoCal PD or some ****, I don't believe it would've turned out this way.

That and the fact that us SoCal'ers are mad protective of our region, LOL.

Regardless, what I'm trying to say is that your entire post had good merit, until you had to "____ SoCal". Didn't help your point, and completely made you look like a douche. I would expect more class and decency from a 6GA Moderator.

Lol, dude the SGV cops are freakin' awesome.. never gave me any trouble, but I will :nutkick: those guys that enforce the street cleaning/no parking BS.
