What's up guys. I recently stumbled onto someone parting out their 98 5spd, meaning I can finally get the rest of the parts needed to do my swap!

I live in the Orlando/ UCF area, and the car is in Deltona. I was wondering if there was anyone in the area who could possibly help me pull these parts. I'll be picking up pretty much everything besides the tranny itself and the ecu.

I'll be driving out there this Wednesday morning to put in a down payment and take a few parts back. I'm not too familiar with these parts beyond the list itself, so I'll need some help making sure I get everything.

Here's the parts I know I need:

Brake Pedal Assembly
Clutch Pedal Assembly/ clutch line
Driver side Axle
Shifter Assembly and cables
Manual transmission bracket
Manual transmission Mount
clutch fluid reservoir and mount
Clutch/ Flywheel
Starter
Clutch master cylinder
slave cylinder

(anything missing?)

Any help is appreciated, and I'd be glad to buy lunch/ give a little gas money for whoever helps.

Thanks guys!

lol thanks for the thought man! I'm just worried I'll get half way through the swap and realize I forgot to pick up a vital piece, thus being completely fcked since this is my only car lol.

I'm most likely gonna have Central Florida Turbo do the labor since they charge $600 as long as I have all the parts, but I just need to make sure I get everything. And if that's the case, once I get the parts I'll be looking at only about $1,000 total!

Well...this weekend is kinda shot for a lot of people. I'll be out of state but back Sunday night or Monday morning...

I'm willing to help...granted I know it's kinda far out, but next weekend (first weekend of December) I can help you out if needed, and bring some help as well. This weekend is shot, and I am working overnights during the week... I am in Oviedo/Casselberry, so UCF/East Orlando is no big deal, nor is Deltona.

Yeah, this did kinda pop up at an odd time, but I figured i should just jump on it since I haven't had much luck finding parts here in the past.

But, I'll be heading down there tomorrow to check things out, so I'll let you kno.

Thanks a alot!

to update this situation, i went and checked out the car today. It turns out, the guy buys and sells a lot of cars on a regular basis, and actually wanted to put the accord back together in a new chassis since it had been in a wreck. BUT, he wanted to put it together as an automatic.

Long story short, we're going to do an even trade for parts, my auto for his standard, and I can get the labor done for $400, making my total cost for the 5spd swap $400 plus the gas it takes to drive out there and back! :147703263745b138a51 (assuming everything works out like it should)

That will also leave me with 2 trannys, an h23 and now an f23 as well. (anbody wanna buy one? :deal: )

But anyway, I'll be gettin the swap done as early as this weekend if everything works out. Can't wait!

UPDATE

Had to postpone a bit for final exams, but if all goes as planned I'll be driving home a 5spd this Sunday!

Just have a few last minute questions maybe some of you guys can help me with. The first is the difference between the 98-00 and 01-02 ECUs. I've read that they aren't necessarily interchangeable. Could anyone shed some light on this? Would a 98 work at least temporarily in an 02 until I could get a new one?

Also, regarding getting the keys programmed, if I have a 5spd ECU and the key that went along with it, would I be able to use that to start my car once it's swapped in? Or would I have to keep the auto ECU in until I can get to a dealership to get my key reprogrammed, then swap out for the 5spd ECU? Just a bit confused on the order things would have to go in.

Thanks for any info guys. Can't wait to finally get this over with!:omghi2u:
