I'd leave it on unless it's trashed and ripped up
It does haev important featured like adding protection in case of an engine fire, and keeping the engine noise down and keeping engine heat from raising through the hood.

However, it's up to you if you want to take it off.
But there's no power gain or weight loss by doing so

Yea I ripped mine off. That crap was nasty looking. I like it much better off. Sounds better and looks better with the hood open.

Its funny how you guys just rip off expensive parts off your car and think it makes it look better. You should have atleast sold it on ebay or something. They go for around $100.

You know the hood insulator is like $100. Thats something I wouldnt wanna just 'rip off". Also, I dont see any performance gains over this either, so why do it.

I ripped mine off. I'm a big fan of keeping things that were engineered to be there, but my very similar 5th gen didn't have one so I doubt its very important.

And how can you judge someone because they decided to remove something that they think improves the appearance? Does that imply we have permission to say your wheels look like **** and you should have kept your beat up, but higher quality factory wheels because they're expensive and engineered to be on the car?

Yes, I'm calling you out HondaLuver. I only see you log in to criticize people and offer useless advice to feed your obese ego.
