i read that they were closing the Cup races for next year, but i was unaware that they closed it permanetly. they might sell the track and have it back up in a few months

Ya when I herd this on the news that was the first thing that went threw my mind. Hopefully someone new buys it and keeps it open. Because there is not to many places that can hold all of us.

the organizer was saying the venue was getting too small for the meet and he'd probably have to find a bigger location anyways

That is where they have the smaller Fall meet, so it is def 2 small. They used to have the summer meet there years ago, pretty cool area for pictures, but overall it sucks and from what I hear it expensive. I just hope it stays in Nashville but I do not know of any place similar to the speedway.

Either way it seems unlikely they'll still have the track day going on. Unless IA goes to another track, which would put it in a different area.

I hope it doesn't get any further away from where I live...
