hopefully I'll be getting an H22 motor & tranny soon.

is it a direct swap over? computer/ecu/harness etc

i wouldnt say "direct swap". theres some mods that need to be done. although if you get an h22a4 you can stay obd2 and use your f23 harness.

im not sure what needs to been with odb1 swaps.

i would say review drifts thread.. (its sticky-ed)

Now why the A4? From everything i have found that is the one to stay away from. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't all the sensors the same? The only thing I have found is the injector pin numbers for the H22a JDM and re routing the certain sensors to the H22 distributor and you can use the F23A1 harness. Since comparing the two schematics I have found the jumper to jump obd2a to obd2b, for that configuration I am not sure. Do you know? Will that fix the injector number locations?

i went with the a4 because its odb2.. just like our 6th gens.. and the heads are different.. 00 and 01 heads have different valve angle then any other h22.. which honda did for better performance.. and from what ive read all the sensors are not the same.. not sure which ones are different but i do remember reading something about this.. and as far as the jdm h.. i know nothing about them..

and im not even sure what all has to be done to drop an h in.. i havent read drifts thread in awhile.. nor have i looked deeply into it what needs to be done.. i just know it can be done. so for now im just building the motor and will cross the install bridge once i get there..

yeah, between everything I have read I am not even sure if it's worth it all. like I said, my family car. I might wait to find another integra GSR sedan, and build a B18C1 with pistons, LS crank, TypeR cams, and head work, I know all that stuff is easy to tune, and I'll blow away any H22 what ever, my H22a is obd2, ecu too. I have a spare f23A1 harness in my shed, I will go see what matches up one of these days. I work so much, days off are with my 4 year old(divorced), maybe in another year I can work with him for home projects, now he takes off, touches other peoples cars with my wrenches. I will still follow you. and I must have been confused or read something wrong. I thought all A4 had the ATTS so you couldnt' use other trans, or limited??? Alot of preludes don't come into the shop, none really. well old ones.

He wasnt' racing or something was wrong, my F23 now couldn't touch my GSR, I don't care what you did without full build of dumb expensive stuff and F/I, I would walk away from H22a in a prelude, not sure of weight differences with the gen 6 but no problem, beat them in quarter by almost two lengths, I know I can drive way better than him but not that much. you know it's alot the driver. and each car doesnt' drive like another.

well im sure after the motor goes in ill have plenty of chances to race one (at the track of course).. once i do.. ill report back to you on the outcome.

and i dont know what it is about my motor.. but for an f23.. it pulls. and for some reason it doesnt redline till 6700.. and from what every other member ive asked.. they'res revs out at 6000...

and when i raced the gsr we both had a good jump on green.. i never pulled away from him but i def had 1/2 a car em.. at first i thought he was just toying with me.. afterwards i asked him.. he said he was all out and didnt miss a gear.. i was shocked.

although the accord had a half a car.. the gsr never caught back up. and the gsr is in a lighter shell where as the h22 is in a heavier shell than its stock home

I don't know....

At Shannonville me and my buddy with a stock Integra GSR entered the straightaway at the same time and by the end of the straight I was only half a car length ahead, and I had a full Euro R swap with a Top Fuel Intake, FGK headers and a full cat back. I was running on the stock Euro R ecu that time and not the AEM. But still, a GSR would walk a stock F23.

Who did your buddys swap? unless the shop did some sort of scam and didn't swap in a GSR but an LS instead or something.

it was a bone stock GSR DC. he bought it from some older guy. it was his dd.. no mods or anything.

i really wish we woulda got it on tape..

Re: JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 02/15/2012)

todays little updates:

well my super tech valve train just came in.. although for some reason it was delivered to my dads house :eh: so some time this weekend i gotta make the trip out there to go pick those up.

i traded my P13 head for a PDE head.. PDE has better factory valve angel for performance as mentioned a few posts back.

my new valves should be here any day now.

and i sold the 70mm (which only had a 68mm opening) tb. and now will be buying a blox 72mm (70mm opening) billet tb.

i also sold the cometic head gasket today too. and went ahead and ordered a Beck Arnley cylinder head gasket kit.

also decided to stay away from the obx itbs and will now be trying to source out a Rosko Euro-R manifold.

now really need to sell these type-s pistons, headers, kms valve train, and oem manifolds so i can move on and buy my new pistons. going to be rocking out with Mahle Gold Series 12.1 c/r (((AF i shoulda just listened to you back when i was looking into using the F23 crank.. lesson learned)))
