Why do you want ARP mains? Do your main caps not match your block?

I hate to be the asshole, again... but there has to be some voice of reason here if anything is to get accomplished. Most of this build is running in circles because you buy/want to buy parts that you just don't need, resulting in funding issues.

EDIT: Novocain is wearing off. Consider this my apology in advance.

i want to buy arp mains studs.. like the little bolts that go in there... wanna swap out my +100k oem studs.

and honestly.. im learning as i go.. im doing this by myself with the advice of guys on the forums. im selling a bunch of stuff because i wanna go bigger and better stuff. i wanna sell the pistons so i can just buy the c/r pistons i want instead of milling the head... which brings me to wanting to sell the type-s cams so i can buy skunk2 pro 1s.. which is a larger cam with better gains for my setup.. which i cant run with a milled head due to P2V clearance issues... selling both manifolds and tb to go itbs right off the bat, so that i dont have to go and get the car retuned once i woulda gotten them.. see where im coming from?

plus with now having 4 paychecks coming to me every 2 weeks.. and my taxes on the way.. im gonna have the money to spend.. i rather this build take as long as needed.. and last a long time.. then to rush it a blow it the first track weekend. hint my sig.. "building dreams one day at a time"

Swap out your main bolts with new OEM ones. These bolts are not TTY like the head bolts, so they can be reused a couple times. The ARP studs have a much higher clamping force, and therefore oval out your main bores. You'll have to spend ~$300 for an align hone to round them back out, then you'll have to start from scratch with your bearing selection and mix and match OEM sizes for each journal since it won't be anything close to stock specs. There are guys with F-series making 600+whp, and you won't ever see them complaining about their OEM main bolts. I've been down that road already. Save yourself the money and time.

I know why it's there, I was not sure of the benefits. Never heard how much increase, only that people do it. I will not do it. 8 horse power isn't that substantial for me. This is still my fam car for when I have my son, My toy is a Lifted SAS 89 toy, I'm about to stack, lock, gear down. been making to decent money lately, well big for me.

When i do my swap I am staying OBD2, since I'm in california, Just a stock rebuild, maybe springs and retainers, valves while head is off, CP race bearings. not much.

i made a CL posting.. theres more parts listed here.. http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/2855545740.html

on another note.. i meet another h series accord builder tonight.. hes pretty much were im at in my build.. still just getting all the parts.. hes built plenty of b and d series he said but knows hardly anything about h series.. so ive been schooling him with the little knowledge that i know.. but we are going to be helping each other out.. oh he has a 91 accord. its hella fresh.

I'm no where close to building just yet, I am so busy with my business I barely have time to get my truck going that recently failed smog. Just figured it all the way out and have to fix. How much bigger are those valves? I am guessing they would also fit the H22 since you told me you had them?

Re: JDMCG3's N/A H22 Build (Last Update: 02/15/2012)

need more input from you guys... on OBX 52mm ITBs..

from what ive read they have identical design at TODA b seires itbs (just larger runners for the h series ones) because at the time toda didnt make any for h series.. but i cant find anyone with h series who have ran them and written a review on the product? let any can i find dyno numbers.. and at over 2/3s of the cost of TWM and 4 1/2 times cheaper than kinsler itbs.

i know you get what you pay for.. but whats making them so different.. i know the twm/kinsler ones are made of billet.. and the obx is cast iron.. but that cant be the reason for such larger price differences.

anyone got any info on em?

EDIT FOR PICS:
sry for the stupid racingpartsdepot on the pics.. its the only ones i could find of good veiws.. its not who id be buying them through if i did go with them.
