me personally, i would never pay over 100 for an untested/unreliable tranny

if he gives you a 30 day warranty, then its an ok deal

How many miles are on it? $400 should be a decent price for a solid working used tranny with under 100k on it. $500 is a bit much I believe.

good low miles, I'd take it if it's pulled out for you and ready to load in the car, and also if there is a damn good warranty on it and a guarantee that it works and works well..

Also, does this price include everything else you will need for the swap such as master/slave cylinders, clutch and brake pedal, clutch line, shifter, gauge cluster, etc.. ?

For that price my local junkyard will pull the tranny, plus everything else I need for the swap. Minus a few things I'll buy new.
