wait, that looks like a Y-cable in the pic

turn the second knob from the left (phase) all the way counterclockwise. do the same with the bass boost setting.

ever run it without the knob plugged in? the remote, i mean.

thats just my standard rockford RCA,,it splits into 2.i believe i have the inner twist one. its one fat wire then splits into 2..
and No iv never ran it with out the knob hooked up..and wont that give me no bass? since i have bass at 0 on my headunit also..

and also going through the headunit options.do you have any input on all those should be set at? i have a handfull of adjustments that can be made through it.

yeah, if its a single RCA end that splits into 2, thats as good as a Y-cable :lawl:

bass boost through the amp is sort of arbitrary...each maker does it differently. problem is, some use it to up the gain (without telling you), while it pretty much universally doesn't help matters. turn the gain down, turn the boost down, unhook the remote and see what happens after doing a 3/4 max volume tune.

on the headunit, i'd keep everything at zero first. it seems that most units need the "loudness" turned on, unfortunately. i'd do that first. its always better to cut frequencies than to boost them.

Well i changed the settings..im going to keep the remote plugged up,because i dont like bass all the time..so with the remote unpluged it bumps no matter what..with it plugged in,It bumps the same when i turn the knob up..so i like that for my personal reasoning.
put the bass +1 on radio, and treble like +3 everything else is 0 and loudness+1
will a 4$ gold plated one off ebay be bad? lol

edit, and also It only bumps inside.you cant really hear it outside but my CF trunk destroying itself and rattles..ha
so dont think im one of those annoying peeps..

edit:Ok,just ordered a 20%off streetwire splitter(gold plated connectors) for $3.78!! shipped

and SORRY FOR THREAD JACKING!

the remotes ARE nice (i'd be ordering one if i can get the cash together for a jl 600/6, and i sold my epicenter on thursday) but sometimes they do more harm than good.

BUT since you have a splitter on the way, you should be good to roll even with the remote :D what i look for in an RCA cable/splitter is a good connection of the wires inside the ends, good terminal contact with the amp/headunit/processor, and cheapness/look :lawl: most of the "no noise" gimmicks are just that.

the OP never posted again in this thread soooo... :lawl:

^thanks for all your inplut/help and time
Im sure when I upgrade my door/rear speakers and add like a 400/4 watt amp to them it will sound cleaner also. and most likely get a pioneer double din sooner or later.

no problem man. having 2 of those knu karma splitters waiting for install kinda sparked my thought process :lawl:

the stock front speakers are rated for like 8 watts...the rears 15 :lawl: better speakers off an amp is like night and day.
