I like the blue theme you have going on there. :)
Everything looks good except for the A/C button and the heater side of the temp knob are kind of dim.

Re: LED Bubl Size

I like the multi-colored heater knob.

And no offense to anyone but I think it looks uneven. IDK how to explain it. You'd think LED light would move/travel the same as incandescent light. The filament bulbs light (most) everything up evenly and nice. They're just kinda dull and drab. You'd think putting in LEDs would make them brighter and more crisp. But apparently not.

I know Chris can argue this with me, but Im a HUGE perfectionist. Nothing on my car is half-assed or even half-rigged. If it wont fit, look or install like new, I have a hard time doing it. For example, the most "rigged" thing on my car, or the things that bother me the most are either the harness for my HIDs; which isnt rigged, I just suck at hiding/running wire so I think it looks sloppy, or the cable for my SIRIUS antenna, which is hidden until the trunk. I have it electrical taped to the trunk lid. Othrwise, everything on/in my car is done right.

That's also why Im shelling out $250 for new OEM fogs and why I might even have the dealer install them. Im a fan of perfection and if it means paying a little extra for it to be so, then so be it.

I ordered LEDs for the vanity mirrors and like 5 of each of the 3mm, 4mm and 5mm twist LEDs. Should be in next week-ish.

Chris, to answer your question about colored incand. bulbs, they do make colored condoms, remember? ;)

Re: LED Bubl Size

Crossfire's set up just needs more work. It's not even because he probably didn't sand any of the leds flat (better dispersal of light, as the round angle of the ends of the leds focus the light into a beam). Also adding more leds will help, as well as trimming where dull spots are (there is a white plastic behind each button) and putting paper behind the spots too bright.

LEDs will always have more potential than filament bulbs. That's just a fact. It just comes down to whether or not you're willing to take the time to do it right.

Yeah, that's because the red temperature knob LED is what lights the A/C part. And compared to the blue LED it looks dim. It is lighted but it's just red.

Had to make sure it worked. :lawl:

I am going to attempt to add another led onto the other side as soon as i can get the glue to dry. Hopefully this will turn out well.

Not trying to thread-jack, I just figure this would be a convenient place to put this since we're all already in this thread. lol

EDIT:

Wasn't too hard, just time consuming. Now I just have to put it all together, with a little trimming of the clock housing to make everything sit right.

Idk why, but it works just fine when I test it on the battery, but when I put it in my car I get nothing. :eh: I'm gonna mess with it some more this weekend. I think I have too big of a resistor. So for now I have no clock light. :lawl:

Re: LED Bubl Size

Here's one for everyone; bought a bunch of the neo-wedge 3mm bulbs from superbrightleds and they wouldnt fit in the clock or hazard switches. Havent tried the cruise/sunroof buttons but I have a feeling they wont. Anyone know what thats about?

I *LOVE* the way the display screen looks. Nice and bright white. The rest of the stuff is meh. It's brighter than before but, eh.
