LED Cup Holder

i may use my spare leds to do this, and just run them off my switch i installed for my footwell LED strips. ill just drill a hole on either side of each cupholder and put them in. good idea

Props for trying a Write-Up. In my opinion, the way you did it looks very tacky and exposed. No offense, I just think there are much better ways of doing the light-up cupholders.

I had pre-wired small LEDs that I shaved the dome flat to disperse the light and make it flush with the cupholder, and they were mounted in the center of the bottom of each. I wished the light was dispersed better in the cupholder, and not just pointing upwards.

Mine looked like this, minus the badass switch and plexiglass... this guy stepped his game up.

I'd either do that, or mount the LEDs low in the sides of the cupholders, probably two facing each other from opposing sides.

Ill post some night pics tonight... I will probably redo it with the strips behind the cup holders with some holes.. or some different LEDs, just was bored in the rain today...

Wow, I'm usually not into LEDs in the interior but that is pretty damn cool.

it is very exposed, Im not one to have things usually exposed but it was just a quick mod..I think i kinda did it just to see what it would look like before i took the time to make small holes and then not like the way it looked. But i do like the look so I will be taking more time later this year when it warms up to do a better job. and for 2.99 for both strips and some spare wire im not out anything. here are the night pics for people that wanted to see it.. it doesnt shine too much.. a little more than the pic shows but not much more. It will do till i can do a better job.. and i will do a write up for it, if someone doesnt beat me to it..

when i did my lights i put them in the little cubby. on the very side. there's a pic in my members ride thread. i spliced it into the cig lighter though lol. turns on when the car is on but it really doesn't bother me. looks awesome at night though. this is a new idea though so i will give you that.

like wildman said, it's nice to see people still trying new mods with old cars.
