Lucas Oil Tranny Additives

i had my tranny rebuilt at 130k miles and a fluid change at 165k miles. my car is now at 202k miles and i NEED to get the fluid re-done now.

despite this though, it still shifts fine w/o any issue.

as for the lucas stuff. just put some in if it's for sure on the way out, otherwise, leave it alone. honda z-1 or any synthetic equivalent is what you should use.

Thats why i imagine why its probably fine. Like i said the only thing that worries me is the slit shudder downshifting from 2nd to 1st at a stop. I do not beat on it or race it at all so im hoping i get lucky and she last me a while.

mine jumps after coming to a stop then i accelarate right after. like coming to a red light and right when i stop it turns green.

i have 125K so i guess i shouldnt be worrying. Manual swap ftw lol.


And yeah mine is the opposite. 2nd to 1st downshift it a little shuddery

it just depends man. the v6 trannys are known to be worse and mine will do that sometimes too

14 hun for a rebuild sounds a lil pricey. id rather find all i need for a swap and do it myself for under 1,000.

there is no telling how long it wil last you just gotta be prepared for anything.
