maintenence light flashing?

ive noticed over the past few days that my maint. required light flashes 10 times when ever i start the car.. any idea what it might be for? oil change was 1100 miles ago, car is 99 sedan 4 cylinder auto 131xxx

Needs reset. Search for instructions.

Wait what? 1100 miles is overdue?

Tbh, I don't usually change it until 5-6k miles using synthetic mobile 1.

Well yea, synth mobile 1 can go 10k + lol

You just need to reset that light bro. It's like page 265 or something in the manual.

Get in car
Press and hold trip/reset button
Put key in and turn to 2nd position
Wait till MAINT light goes off
Take finger off trip/reset button
Turn key back to turn car off
Turn key back on and notice maint light only comes on once and goes off
Go driving in circles to celebrate and waste some gas
Go back home and ask for or make a sammich yourself.

As for oilchanges since it was mentioned. If using dino oil do them at 4000-5000km intervals i would say.
