That mani makes me super jelly. I love how clean everything is. Nice attention to detail. Keep it up!

Some photos from this past weekend.

Clayed the motor. Apparently with the K20 pistons, p2v clearance isn't even remotely an issue.

Those are the 'after' photos. Apparently the smaller valves of the F23 don't even come close to the the larger valve reliefs of the K20 pistons.

ACT clutch and flywheel came in this week, along with SF 4-bar MAP sensor and NGK wires. I won't be going upstate to work on the car this coming weekend, but I have a few things with me that I can work on while I'm away. I'm also expecting a OE Honda parts order to come in this week with some fresh bolts, o-rings, and gaskets.

If everything goes as planned, the motor should be going in the weekend of the 27th.

What cam you running?

I've already spoken to Bisi about a custom cam, but it really depends on funds and timing whether I'll order it or not. Parts have been taking their sweet time coming in, so I don't want to put money into something that might not get here in time. I also really don't need to cut myself short on funding at this point. My main focus is getting this running in time, but I have really convinced myself that I'll need that cam to make my goals. Just trying to prioritize at this point. :skurred:

Sounds like a solid plan. On the plus side, after you get the motor running as is you then have a base line and can then see the affects of further modifications. Good old scientific method right der lol

Right... I would get a back to back comparison if I had the cam on hand anyway. But yeah, I might have to figure out some way to get the cam swapped and tuned after I leave. I just hate not being there for that kind of stuff, especially if something goes wrong.

Played around with some different configurations tonight since none of my other attempts came close to lining up with the ports on the flange.

I finally ended up with this. The two ports fit perfectly, and the whole thing was very symmetrical so I taped it up good until I can tack it. :D The other two runners should be cake compared to these. (knock on wood)

Tacked the first two runners successfully and began shaping the second two.

Looking at this one makes me think I might need to check clearance with the compressor.

Tinkering with different locations for the wastegate.

I'm partial to this one.

Lookin really nice. You got a TIG...or are you just tacking it up with a MIG and then having a weld shop do it?
