use new power stearing fluid replace with new gasket and also when u take the lines off plug them up with a towel of such cause you want the least amount of air to get in or debree to get in.

You might want to empty the resovior before you do this. You can un-hook it and pour the contents into a cup and put it back in later.

empty it out and use new fluid. the power steering fluid takes in moisture from the air and you dont want moisture in your system.

Honda PS fluid has no service interval.



Most cars use transmission fluid for their PS units. Make sure you use ONLY honda power-steering fluid.

the stock color of our fluid is a clearish brown. If you must replace the fluid, only use Honda PS fluid.

The only reason I offered you to pour your fluid into a cup or something with a cap is because there is no service change for this fluid, I have two friends who are mechanics at Honda. Both are very seasoned older guys, I inquired about this PS fluid a long time ago.

Just because it doesn't have a service interval doesn't mean you shouldn't replace it when servicing the system. You never know what contaminates you get into the fluid when working on it.

i finally got around replacing the gasket of my PS and its was pretty simple to replace but you need at least another person to help you out and it doesnt leak anymore. i flushed out the PS unit first with the new fluid twice or so and then i poured in the rest of the PS fluid. thanks everyone.

okay nvm i drove it today and i checked the PS unit and it still slightly leaks on the underside on it but not the top anymore.. so what else could it be?? all the bolts and everything are tight.
