Removed rear seat belts last night and bought red suede fabric.

^pulling out interior panelling was easy. 2 bolts and 3 clips hold them on. From there its straight forward.

^seat belts gone.

^c-pillars look cleaner now. imo.

^ these three seat tensioners (or whatever) actually weigh alot for being such small items.

-----

Removing the seats was the easiest part. Four bolts and theyre out!.

Im going to use some thin hardwood with red suede stretched over it for the inserts. and finally some red mugen floormats to finish it off.

Tip:
Make a poster board or cardboard template FIRST and get the shape you want, then cut your wood to the template. Cover the wood with your material LAST, after you have test fitted and made sure everything is like you want

you're on the right path. Material covered wood is usually used. Some peeps have used material covered foam, ABS, or Aluminum/Stainless sheet metal.

Your going to cover the rear pass thru and the seat pan, or just the pass thru?

** It doesn't matter why he's doing this project. What matters is that he's sharing his info. Geez, you guys never learn. lol

Thanks Wheelman. Im looking to save additional weight and have a true 2seater. Im planning on adding a roll bar and fab a rear strut tower brace soon, so the seats are goin either way.
