My driver's side windshield washer sprayer has been clogged since day one, 4 years ago, and I FINALLY fixed it! Here are some pics!

Removed and ditched the 21-year-old nasty hood linear, so I could clean out the build-ups in the tube with the air compressor & the pipe cleaner brush to get the gunk out.

My OCD kicked in, and cleaned the hell out of the hood panel, as you can see!

It's soo satisfying, and making me sooo happy now lol!!

Been self-complimenting the engine bay lately, ever since I removed the hood liner lol. Then, I noticed that there were two sections where water has been getting into the bay!

One of the sections was by the driver side's head light, where it meets the hood panel when it closes. The headlight already has the weather strip on the housing, but the hood hasn't been sitting flush. So I applied some rubber weather trips on the edge of the hood panel to fill out the gap.

The other section was by the top of the fire wall, behind the strut bar, underneath the cowl grille. There were two holes for clips that weren't used, and some rain water was dripping on the rear engine mount. Figured duct-taping was the easiest to deal with, so I applied that sucker for the hell of it.

Hopefully, there won't be anymore rain / water going into the bay!

Forgot to document this dent removal project I've had a few weeks ago lol. A clueless kid slammed into here with his bicycle. He was coming from a downhill with a full speed, not knowing there would be cars making a turn. There was quite an impact, but he stood right up, and started to walk, so I just drove away after telling him to watch out. I could care less about this car's cosmetic, since she is a beater lol.

Came home, and realized how embarrassing this dent was, so I decided to pop it back out. Thanks to the factory bumper, it didn't crack. Luckily, I also found one missing bolt by the HID ballast's mount, so this was a plus, and a fun work done together with my son.
IMG_20240805_143744.jpg

It was such a rough and simple repair, but I hope the poor kid got some better treatments than this lol. It would have been a totally different story, if this shit was happening to my Accord instead lol.

The smell of air coming from the air ducts started to be like an old vacuum cleaner running, so I figured it was time to change out the filters. I was amazed how easy it was to access the filters, when compared to the 6th gen's lol. There were only 5 screws needed to get this thing done, instead of 10-15 screws on my Accord lol.

I let someone else change the filter 4 years ago, when I bought the car iirc, but it was nasty this time! After all, the old vacuum cleaner-like smell is completely gone, and it smells like nothing but breathing through a new facemask now. :Big Laugh:

My stock CD player has been N/A since I bought this car, and I finally decided to resolve it, since I started to miss listening to my own music. Figured any of the 01-03 CL's non-navigation HU would be a direct replacement. Bought an used factory HU for cheap, so we'll see if this will work out. If that goes well, I might be able to sort out my original HU's CD changer situation, once it's removed.

Thanks for checking! :peace:

Here's the '01 CL non-NAV HU I bought in order to resolve my '03 HU's CD playa being n/a. It was filthy as hell, when I unboxed the package, so I cleaned the hell out of this sucker.

A lot of screws and panels need to be removed lol. I had to take this pic to memorize which ones to go back lol. There were about 28 pieces or so. Kind of like the 6gen's cabin air filters change deal lol.
IMG_20240828_124058.jpg

Well, guess what? this '01 HU is not playing CD's either lol! Threw me the same error display like my '03's.:banghead: I guess I can't really complain much for $60 price with free shipping haha.
IMG_20240828_140144.jpg

Decided to disassemble my original '03 HU to see if I can try to fix the CD player issue. All of the mechanisms were moving, as far as I checked. Actually, there were 2 custom burnt discs in the changer, which I was able to extract them out of the slots. Hopefully, these discs were the issue, but we'll see what happens, when I reinstall this '03 piece later.

Thanks! Yea my threads became like resumes of my cars lol. It really helps me keep track of what I've done, and figure out what to do next!

Well, all of the 2nd gen CL players are compatible to each other, because they basically share the same part numbers. Also all of the pinouts are the same!

But the part numbers from the 2nd gen TLs are different.. so I'm not exactly sure if the pinouts are still the same..

Removed the defective '01 HU I bought, and reinstalled my original '03 HU that I recently disassembled & extracted two old discs. Wow, it's working! I didn't think I could fix it tbh lol.

This playa's in the game. let's go! :burnout:

How exactly did you fix your CD player?
Mine is lagging (probably anti-shock system broke), all tracks are abrupt while playing.. can't even listen to it properly :emotions122:

Nothing much, besides a casual inspection, after removing the face plate and the top head. I was just manually checking the mechanism of the disk changer and the disc ejecting assembly. I ended up removing 2 discs that were left out within the slots, but that's about it.

Oh snap, maybe it's time to replace your HU, too.

Got this thing at a Japanese dollar shop called Daiso to remove some rust in the engine bay.
IMG_20240817_172726.jpg

This is a half-way progress, but I ended up almost polishing up the entire thing lol.

I'll try to work on a few more areas, when my lower back allows me lol.
