the 250-300 mark would be a butt load of fun. just be prepared to re-build the entire motor to make that kind of power. the f23 is only good for 8-9lbs of boost on stock internals. and thats only gonna make 200ish.

1bad6.. stop street racing.

Hahaha yea true im looking at a turbo down The road when ihave a job

Same. Well I have a job, but I'm in between houses right now. Most of my money is getting saved until I can find a new apartment. Depends if I decide to go back to school or not. If i go back to school I probably won't do anything with my car.

Car is still a blast to drive. I do have another car though, which I think you should consider. If you boost your car, there is going to be lots of down time, and you don't want to sacrifice your daily driver.

That being said, boosted for ~7 years now and not regretting a thing

^speaks the truth.

Nevertheless, worth EVERY sweat that rolls down ya face and curse that comes out of your mouth.

I cant wait to boost this accord.

I was thinking about buying a new car... but then i don't know if i'd still want to work with the accord or not.

I've been wanting to get a Miata for probably 3-4 years now it just hasn't ever panned out. If i saved up for a new car and didn't have to rush in to it I'd probably end up with a Miata for a second car and i would honestly probably give her more attention that the accord. If i was going to raise my budget, I would probably also consider a 350z or an older BMW. (Inline six ftw)

Unless I just got a beater to beat around in while I strap a turbo to the accord. The other problem is tuning. I have a decent mechanic around 30 minutes away but we don't have anyone in my area with a dyno. We had one shop but they went under. I'd actually have to do extensive traveling for tune service.

lets just say, nothing beats the satisfaction of taking down a G37 leaving the other driver with that "wtf happened here" face.

dude you were racing a stock G37? now imagine if that G37 had turbo like you do and was modded & tuned :p

Been running 15 pounds of boost for quite a while now. And my car takes a beating. Lot's of autocross and the ****ty roads of rochester. Pressure is not the biggest factor when gauging how much a turbo can take. The size of the turbo makes the difference. If you look at the flow maps on the compressors of various turbos you'll see how much air they actually move. My GT25R at 15psi pushes the same as a GT30R at like 8psi. And at 15psi i'm roughly at like 260ish. Still no dyno proof. But trust me ;)

I think it all depends how much you like the car, its condition in terms of body/chassis rust, other work that needs to be done to it etc.
If you've maintained it well and its in good condition then why not.

If you dont like the car its a whole other story

This is very important. You gotta care about the car and you need to do it right. A well done boosted car will last for quite a long time. I'm going on 5 years now. With constantly pushing the car further and further. The F series are very strong motors. You just need to put quality parts into your build, and most importantly, get someone who knows how to actually tune ECUs to tune your motor.

once you drive a boosted car you will hate NA cars forever. i miss my srt4:boohoo:

Couldn't agree with this more.

Thanks for the input guys! Id say I like the car a fair bit. I wasn't really looking to do anything extreme I just wish I had a little bit more pep. It would be pretty cool if I could keep up with some of my friends cars, though idk how likely that is. I like the comfort and style of my coup though so it'd be nice to just stick with what I have. I also don't see a lot of tuned 6th gens floating around my area as opposed to the endless swarm of Civics and Integras that I see everyday.

I do have a little bit of Honda Rot popping up in the rear wheel wells. It's not bad though and I'm in PA so there's not much I can do to avoid it.

How much power do you feel you need to put down before the car becomes more fun? Would I notice the difference with a modest goal of 250-300?

When (rpm) does the turbo start to spool up and build power for you guys?

250 is quite a bit of fun. 250 wheel measured horsepower is honestly enough to take down an EVO/STI. The evos and stis only put down like 230 at the wheels. They loose quite a bit through the drivetrain. I've been running a little more than that much power and the motor has not problems. U just gotta put the effort into it and build it right.

Sorry, I have to check some people since I haven't been here in a while

1 st 250-280 whp you can do all day everyday on stock motor no issues. I have proven that you can make 320+whp on a stock motor w/ headstuds.

2nd once you start running 13+ psi the factory pistons will decide that the ringlands cant take the added pressure ( if your making power) All pressures are not the same VOLUME

3rd Akoutmos your car probably makes a TON of instant torque making it feel like a monster and I bet its a ton of fun to drive, but a smaller t25 is not in its efficency range with what our motors and it is probably starting to choke itself.

4th An evo 8 bone stock will make 220-230 whp. An evo 9 makes around 260-270 Bone stock. This is a dynojet number from experience.
