There is nothing wrong with taking your car to Paul and having him finish it up. You've done an amazing job, so why not have someone go through it and tie up all the little loose ends. I would personally take it to him or someone I trusted to double check, especially this being your first engine build. Good luck with whatever you do man! I encourage you to lose the pride and seek help to insure prolonged reliability and drive ability! Great job man!!!

nice patrick..... you better have it up and running by the time our meets roll around... idc if you have to whore yourself out for money!!!!!!

now with tht said, you have made quite an accomplishment, i would beat ur self up cause its not 100% done. you probably did this build faster than most and it came out pretty well with some minor issues

Decided to swallow my pride and have Paul finish it. Matt you made a really good point about having someone experienced going over everything anyway since I don't know 100% what I'm doing when it comes to a turbo'd car. Look out for a FS thread with all my leftover goodies. I'll also be selling all my 5speed swap parts for my ka24de s13 if anyone is interested.

I'll also be taking any donations that anyone feels like giving me :lawl: Hopefully I can get some decent money for all the parts and my tax return so that I'll be able to afford to have the car finished soon.

That's totally cool though, you did the hard part, now it's just someone giving it a go over to verify everything to verify everything is to a T for longevity reasons and so there are no surprises later.

A good choice.

ya thats the way I was looking at it too

looks like my mom is entertaining the idea of loaning me the money to have it finished as a graduation/birthday present. Everyone keep your fingers crossed cause that would be the difference between having the car done in a few weeks as opposed to a few months.

Haha I hope you get the latter deal, and have it finished soon, that would be badass! But even if it's in a few months, it's ok. It's best to get it looked over anyways to make sure it runs. The essential build is in making it run! The rest is tweak. Damn, missin my car lately.. It's been down for 7 months now. Gotta get some custom thickness sleeves pressed in after I research what options I have. Shop has been taking their dear time doing the work, but it's ok.

ya hopefully. She brought it up when we were out to dinner tonight and seemed like she wanted to help out since she knows how hard I've been working to get it finished.

ya I know what you mean I drove mine the ten feet out of the storage unit to clean everything last week then pulled it back in. was the biggest tease I've ever experienced in the form of a 20 foot drive.

sleeves eh? thats always good to hear, guess I'll have to put mine back under the knife in the next year or two so I can keep up with everyone else haha

I know what you mean man, my machine shop told me they'd have my **** done in a week and it took almost two months.
