forgot to add: the absolute dead giveaway if its the body seam(s) leaking is that when the trunk gets wet, you open the lid then put your hand inside the trunk and feel for water on the bottom side of the opening.
I did feel the side compartment (same spot as the jack but on the left side) and the tray area on the left was a bit wet when i felt around it a couple weeks ago..

:thumbsup:

Also, I have some 98 sedan tails for sale if you're wanting proper lights.

I would jump on them because my left tail light does have scuffs on them that annoys me because it doesn't look clean but i can't remove it so until then i'll have to leave it at that.

Okay so i had a chance to take everything out and have a good look around.

All this area is wet.
I found the drain hose, pulled it out and found a lot of gunk inside of it so i gave it a wash and now water doesn't pool up where the trunk lid seal is anymore which is good :rock: The gunk inside blocked the water flow and caused it to overflow from here;

simply because both ends slides into each other fairly easily. That was one of the reasons why water was coming into my trunk, however there is still a small leak coming from the tube here;

The next area from which water was found leaking into the trunk was here...

so ****ing dodgy. The water collecting there very nearly gets in contact with the wiring above it, but eventually overflows over and makes it's way down resulting in this area being wet;

and then pooling up beneath the spare full size tire.

I really don't know how im going to stop the water coming from the tail light. I doubt theres an easy way of cutting that silicone out cleaning the whole area and replacing it with a new tail light..

No I haven't, I've been caught up with exams for the past week but I finish off this week so I should be able to look further into it.
Do you have a seal lining the edges of your trunk lid? It looks as if there was lining on mine that had been removed but never stuck back on, as there is some sort of really hard
glue that's now solid outlining the edge of the trunk lid.. The same is on the edging of the bonnet...

Hmm... my uncle had the car resprayed because it was lightly rear ended whereby apparently only the bumper was damaged.. :eusa_wall: I know whoever fixed and resprayed the car was not a true professional as there are some runs on the doors and fender.
