It will fire th hids because the headlights flash with the alarm. Its bad for the ballasts when your alarm goes off
I have to shut mine off, I don't have the auto off feature on my SE. I tried it one night doesnt exist, which is why i was hoping i could disable that.No I mean do you leave them on all the time and let them switch themselves off 15-30 seconds after you get out of the car? Or do you physically turn off your headlights before you get out of the car?
Set off my car alarm today, and found out It fires the HID ballasts when it goes off. Any way to disable?
Also washed the salt off.
Only your indicators should go off, IIRC, not the headlights.
May be the way you have things wired up.
Read your owners manual on the options/settings. Otherwise it might be a dealer wiring option that should be changed or a dealer option that requires a dealer to reprogram your alarm head unit.
