so which headlights are you asking about? tyc's and halos are completely different. tyc's arent that bad, but the halos are garbage. i dont like the looks of either of them, and if i wanted projectors id just do a retro.

not hating....i just think they are ugly and just not my taste.
on the other hand, i like the 4 dr altezza taillights with the red vinyl overlay.

I've read the good and bad, and I've already made up my mind on the matter - they're on my car! I dunno, I just noticed most people here are all about doing retrofits and crapping on the TYCs. I was just curious why they were so unappealing to so many.

Well since this is a car forum site there is going to be hating no matter what is being talked about. But guys with retrofits are going to talk bad about the TYCs because a retrofit generally speaking will perform much better. And the TYCs are even better than the Halo headlights. WHICH ARE HORRIBLE. I would know, i had them about 6 years ago and they were complete crap. I had to drive with my brights on just to see the road sometimes. So they were gone quickly.
As for TYCs, for what you pay for they are not that bad. I had a friend with 6000K HIDs in them and it annoyed the crap out of me when i had to drive in front of him. But he did have a modded shield.
Anyways, like Danny said, it should not matter what we think on the site. You are modding the car for yourself. Retros are so appealing because the output on them is better than anything else you can buy. Especially if you get good projectors, which is why a retrofit can easily cost around 700 on into the thousands
