    sm1ke's 1999 Accord Coupe EX V6 **NOT 56k friendly**

Not sure why I never got a notification for this, lol. Sorry for the extremely late reply. I didn't remember at first, but I went to the first page and luckily I explained it there. "Also, the rear shock body (of the AMR coilovers) does touch the end links, so I have a little extra noise in...

    sm1ke's 1999 Accord Coupe EX V6 **NOT 56k friendly**

Hey guys. Not sure if anyone is still running their AV6 but I found the custom end link brackets that NVA_AV6 made me in my garage, I guess I never ended up installing them. If anyone needs them, just let me know. I also have a full set of OEM black carpet mats in brand new condition.

AMR is planning a new batch for us soon.

I bought GoldnKnight22's set after he returned them to Andy. Now, I can only speak for myself, but I have to say that I didn't have any problems with Andy. Yes the leadtime was long (I think 3 1/2 months), but the product was more than worth it. Now, some user experience. I rode 2 winters...

    DIY Mods under $25

Cost depends on what you already have lying around. Sandpaper doesn't cost anything if you already have it, same with clear coat and primer. How much did you spend on the ghetto lip for your Accord? It looks pretty good on that Evo.

UPDATE: CF eyelids are tentatively sold. I'm receiving a deposit to hold them until the end of the week.

FS: Retrofit stuff, bypass filter, CF eyelids, towhook

Bump! There's been some interest in the tow hook set and the eyelids, nothing set in stone yet though. Btw, here's the look I was going for. These are the exact same CCFLs. I should also mention that the diameter of each CCFL ring is 70mm. Pic courtesy of TRS.com. The price for just the rings...

FS: Retrofit stuff, bypass filter, CF eyelids, towhook

Unfortunately no, I mounted them and everything, but when I was putting the headlights back together, the ring pressed against the lenses and broke on both sides. It wouldn't have happened if I wasn't rushing to finish my first set of retros, but I was too excited to do it right :fail: I'm...

    painting rims!!!

I spraypainted my stock V6 16s white when they started to oxidize. If you DIY, you need a lot of patience during the sanding process. I spent an hour and a half sanding each wheel. I screwed up on the prep though, and only used 2 coats of white and no clear, so the paint started chipping off...

    tease!! for redryder!!! heheheheh

Yikes. AMR service was alright when I ordered mine, told me it would take a while but he stuck to the timeline he gave me over the phone. They're still as good as the day I put them on, and they've seen 2 winters now and a bunch of potholes. They're bulletproof. But 3 months is quite the wait...

FS: Retrofit stuff, bypass filter, CF eyelids, towhook

NotNice: The wheel is a Rota Subzero that I'm including in the local sale of my current wheels (Racing Sparco NS-II Python). It's just one single wheel. 6thGenJed: Yeah its a little hard to justify, I ordered them on eBay for $100 because I like the style and the fact that they're genuine CF...

FS: Retrofit stuff, bypass filter, CF eyelids, towhook

Cleaning out the garage. Replica 'gatling gun' shrouds from retrofitsource.com. They have minor paint blemishes on them, but you can just paint them whatever color you want. Pair of CCFL rings w/ CCFL inverters and wiring. 70mm diameter. Pic of the blemishes: Gotta go as a package. $25 obo...

    The "DOES IT FIT?(parts)" Thread

I think you can use the OEM piping up to and including the cat, but you'll need a new header and you may have to modify the flange where the downpipe meets the cat (one is a 2 bolt flange and the other is a 3 bolt flange I think). Personally I'd just go to an exhaust shop and have a custom...

    FS: ★ Russianred's Replacement Parts For Sale Thread! *UPDATED: 6/27* [OEM][ENGINE] ★

Re: [P28] [OEM Tails] [Cubby Cover] *UPDATED 4/19* Russianred's For Sale Thread [NO Did you notice a difference with the Big 2 grounding kit? I get some dimming in the cluster when my turn signals are on, will the Big 2 upgrade fix that? Also, why did you remove it?

I also need to know about the front sway.. specifically any Acura OEM front sway w/ bushings. Got a buddy on a local forum who works for Acura, and may be able to get me this stuff cheap.

    Renewed appreciation for my car..

And the money I've put into it. Here's the story: I live in Winnipeg, Canada, and our winters get pretty cold. This weekend it was especially cold, and the temp including windchill averaged -33 to -40* fahrenheit. On top of that, the roads became very icy. I decided to spend the weekend...

    *NEW UPDATE* 03-23-11 imaricer:)'s 1999 Sedan LX

Re: imaricer:)'s 1999 Sedan LX *UPDATED 12/09/10* ^^ This. Quick fixes are fine if you need to fix something that's broken, but since your OEM shocks are still good, just rock those til you save up enough to get coilovers or until something breaks and you're forced to replace them with a...

    Skyy's 1999 Accord V6 Sedan (56k) - for sale :(-

Re: Skyy's 1999 Accord V6 Sedan (56k) - New Pics 12/19- Your car is coming along veeery nicely. :D Btw the coil should be sitting on the perch just like that. There's a lot of room to slam your car. The ride is stiff to accommodate for the lowness and to minimize the damage to your car, if you...

Is this too much stretching or is my friend trying to scare me ?

Tire brand plays a role in how the tire stretches, but a 235 on a 9.5 should be pretty mild. You shouldn't have to worry about popping the bead because you'd have to be taking a turn at a pretty high speed to do anything. Btw, your friend is not a "pussy," he's just more concerned with function...

Re: imaricer:)'s 1999 Sedan LX *UPDATED 12/09/10* A 1.5" drop put my car a lot lower than your 2" drop. Yours looks to be more like a 1" drop. Save up for something better than Tokico HPs if you want to go lower than 2.5", especially if you plan to use those sleeves in the meantime. Koni...

    Running 9" wheels question????

If you want it to look halfway decent, you should go 17x8 +38-40 offset with 215/45 tires if you're planning to keep a 2 finger gap up front and a 3 finger gap in the rear. Whether you need to roll/relocate tabs is dependent on how soft your suspension is going to be.
