Don't get a 6 speed if you're looking for fun. DBW systems suck. These cars really are dissatisfying to drive. Look at the Mini or the GTI.

The major drawback to the GTI is the mechanical issues are often major, and when they are, they are pricey.

As far as looks are concerned, a bagged GTI on Rotiforms is beautiful, no doubt.

The 2.0T responds to mods very well, but the car is almost useless one you get a decent amount of work done to the engine, as it spins completely through 1st,2nd,and half of third. That is with less than 300 hp/tq to the wheels.

I am just going to go completely on what I love here.. I LOVE mk3 vr6 golfs. Reliable, sporty, simply clean.

DBW system? are you talking about honda accord 6-speed or?

I've also found a nice GTI with 74k miles for $11,500 with upgraded turbo. It makes 331hp to the wheels. Has GT28RS turbo in it.

I almost bought a CL Type-S 6MT a year ago, found an Anthracite Gray one on Craigslist and test drove it. I loved everything about it...but when I looked at it next to my coupe, the looks just didn't compare. If you love the way the CL looks, then it's not a bad idea, but tbh I'd rather spend a few extra grand and have half the mileage. Plus the new Accord coupes are much nicer than they use to be...if I was in the market for a late model Honda 2dr I'd take a 7.5gen Accord over the CL-S. That white on black is soo nice though...

There's nothing wrong with Honda 6spds. Yes there are common cases of the grinding in 3rd, but it's easily fixed. I don't think you'll encounter this with an 06-07 anyway. And unless you track the car or you are a vigorous driver, you're not going to miss an LSD.

I don't like German engineering sooo... I like the '03 CL 6spd but it's not worth 10k. I'd rather get that 6spd black '07 coupe for 3.5k more.
