I will be doing this in the future, the chrome reflectors on my tails, for some reason, have begun to flake. So I figure I'm just going to sand it and paint them gloss black.

The housings (didn't know my flash was on so the reflective finish lit up like a christmas tree)

Yeah dude you'll need to change those bulbs to LED's or something, that's pretty dim. Kinda looks like the sun is just hitting them. They look cool though.

where did you get the reflective paint from and are all of the lights done? it loks like just the inside ones are done. the outer lights look brighter.

Meh I don't like it. Looks like a similar effect to smoking the exterior of them, and that doesn't limit the light as much. Get some LED bulbs like shaved said.

Home Depot, and the bulbs are different sizes.

I agree the light output is a little dim during the day. Not sure what other types of paint would be more effective as a fix for flaking. A high gloss black might work fairly well.

Since I'n not going to be doing this over any time soon, I'll be looking for some better bulbs.

I can't imagine how bad your backup lights are now too, i just thought about that. Ours are horrible even in stock form.
