well i just sold me boston spg and picked up an idmax 10 v3. can anyone tell me anything about the sub?

i bought it because of all the hype. also what size box would you recommend for those who know about the sub. im looking to get it sealed.

also i dont know where to mount my amps. i have 2. and dont have a whole lot of money to have a crazy plexied out one.

i wud have gone with the fi btl series but still great choice.....im almost ready to drop in my boston sub all i need is some sound deadener which is expensive.... got everything all ready to be hooked up still dont know if ima use an amp rack or not

had an idmax for a few years before my current sub. I loved it. bottom end on it isn't so great though in small sealed boxes, but that is to be expected. I would just go by ID's recommended enclosures, they are pretty spot on.

having lower extension and needing less power does not sound like a poison - maybe the bigger box required is the only drawback.

that was really useful info bro thanks.

would you guys recommend a ported then if i wanted smooth bass? i only switched to this sub cause i wanted a more SQ sub. i listen to R&B alot so i'd like the bass to be smooth.

So ported? Or Sealed?

Also what does peaky response mean.?
