ok, once again awesome write up and awesome info! thanks again!
How much did it cost you to do the complete coversion?
Dunno. Didn't add it up.
it cost me 220 at a junkyard !!! i got lucky though
i was thinking of doing this, i dont know how much it would cost....estimate?
I don't know why you keep asking for a price, I don't have one for you. You may find a deal on the parts, you may not, you may choose or not choose to do or use the same parts I did. It's completely subjective.
If you have a question about how hard it is I can help you with that.
Here's how mine went:
here's the official breakdown
Knuckles $220 ebay
New Pads $80 partsamerica
v6 Calipers $160 rockauto
New Rotors $160 autozone
Steelies w/ Spare $90 craigslist
4 Lug Nuts $0 dad
Came out to about $700
How would it take and is it really hard?
No it's not hard. A little time consuming, but not hard.
greg, did you ever need to switch the brake master cylinder? i heard a long time ago if you put rear disc's, 5 lug or 4 lug set ups, that you needed to get the brake master cylinder as well. and i looked on majestics site, and the bmc's are different part numbers between lx and ex/v6 ones. it was a while ago when i looked, haha, so i dont remember if the ex was different from the v6, but i looked mostly at the v6 since i want to do the 5 lug.
