Dammit this thing is just getting worse now my radio and lighter arent working and i know they go to the same fuse, tested the fuse and it is still good so what now?? And my switch isnt working.

if you want to hardwire this switch, can you tell me what the wires represent..as in ground,power source,lights..ect?

Civic : OEM
Black : Black-Ground
Red (with orange stripe) : Orange?
N/A (since it's combined with black/red) : Blue?
Black/red : Black/red?
Red : Red?

It's a possibility that you fried your multiplexor..

i also got mines professionally installed they look great, however the factory switch doesnt work with them *shrugs* so i wired them to the headlight switch>>>>works for now, til i can get a new switch.

Yes, it does, if your bulb isn't burn out, or the switch isn't defective.

I installed the same thing and then used OEM switch. I followed the wiring diagram on this link and the backlight worked.
