Also, it takes an amazing feat of strength to break that fork.. I spend about 2 days just BORING mine for the boat look fix back in the day.. Let alone break it in half! Wow. :computer:

There isn't anything hard about it, I'd just rather follow the instructions since ive never worked on my cars suspension before & the instructions I used told me to remove the fork, & the brake line so I could pull the stock suspension out easier, but the pressure from the spring pushing down bent the fork in half.


Edit: yeah my mechanic got a good laugh outta me breaking that fork haha. I'll post pics later today.

I used the fitsai guide, I left 2 bolts attatched on the top of the strut, then removed the fork at the bottom and it just slid right off. :thinking:

Same here, i had a friend helping me while i did it as well.

Took me about 5 and a half hours but I did it by myself. haha

Why would you use a spring compressor if you were installing coilovers?
