@ocho

Where's the mid bass? I like to keep my highs crossed around 85hz to keep the mid bass in there.

Here's my set up in my TL:

-Mb quart reference 6.5 comps in the fronts
-Boston SX60 compa in the rear doors
-JL 300/2 crossed at 85hz
- 2 sundown sa-8 in a 1.1^3 @32hz. Crossed at 90hz
-AudioQue 1200d @1 ohm

my speakers punch a lil bit but i like the way it sounds with less mid bass. my jl has an amazing mid section for the bass. lows shake, mids vibrate everrrything, and highs are heard than felt...lol

yea im with you ocho i dont need much mid bass i like to have my mids and highs crossed over at about 120HZ and let my 10" alpine fill in the rest i feel there is a crisper sound out of the mids and highs that way idk if i would go as high as 160HZ liek you are but maybe ill give it a Shot!

125 is a good starting point depending on if you are running a sub or not and you need more bass comming through the mids

oh god

some of you guys, smh. :thinking:

Why the hell would you cross your mids at 120hz?

Seriously macs..it seems you know very little about audio.

where's ryan? that's the guy to get advice from.

If your mids lose steam being hp'd at 80hz, upgrade them. Simple.
