All newer members, please consider this thread an example of what not to do....

go to like oreilly's and buy sum like cheap monroe shocks for stock replacements because they have a life time warranty and new shocks are a good idea.... ..... and a camber kit in the front would probably be a good idea...
No.... like others have said buying cheap shocks for replacements is not a good solution at all. You'll still end up paying more money in the end, and the car will ride like sh*t in the meantime.

Also, a camber kit in the front is retarded. On a car not even close to slammed, don't waste your moeny. It won't make a difference. Get an alignment. Period.

So, if you don't know what you're talking about, stop giving others advice... because eventually someone will take the bad advice and be worse off because of your "help".

Ok so once ive lowered it with just springs and the shocks blow, all i have to do is swap the shocks? I dont have the money for good shocks right now, but im looking into tokicko blues.

Also how hard is it to put on the springs/shocks yourself? I bought new rotors and pads so i want to do everything at once.
Obviously zero searching was performed.....

And rotors and pads have nothign to do with suspension. Doesn't need to be done at the same time at all.

jumping in*

What are "struts" :x are there different names for it?
Holy motherf*cking facepalm. SRSLY?

I don't even....

i ran tein s-techs on stock shocks for two years without any problems.
I'd say you got pretty lucky to get 2 years out of them. I'd say the ride probably wasn't all that great either. Bouncy.

u should get kyb shocks....they r good...thats wat i got on my accord...
That's great that you have them, yo. But doesn't mean they are good. As oem replacements, they aren't good in the application. Even if you have them.

More bad advice...

leave ur car as is and drive it

end thread
Annnddddd then some sense enters the thread. Thanks Millz.

Dude, my honda sucks. It's been in 2 severe accidents, front and rear. It's not worth more than maybe $2k and I will only be using it for 1 year or until it completely falls apart. It's honestly not that I don't have the money, i've saved up like $10k since I was 14 towards a car, but I don't want to spend any of it on this car. Therefore, my initial goal was to make it a little nicer for the time that I will be driving it. Even if I do buy "high quality" stuff, its not going to make my car value any higher.

if u feel like tha car aint worth anything....leave it alone dont touch anything...if u aint got any pride in a car then get ride of it...just sayn.. thrown lil money at it and it breakn latter cuz u cheapd out is gunna just make ur veiw of this car worse... and its a honda .... riden it til it falls apart will take a while:ughrun:

If you take shortcuts you will regret it. Here's a saying for you.

Buy once, cry once.
