If it's that confusing.. forget that you read all the stuff that's already been posted.

Just watch this video.. instructions can't get any more clearer than this. It is Sleeper Cell's F2 tutorial that he made a couple years back. This applies to all the F2's, Ksport's, Megan's, and similar coilovers.

/thread.

What he says is to pretty much unbolt the lower mount though, while NASOHC who's been selling and providing support for these for awhile now suggests otherwise. Would you go with what a user or a supplier says?

Sorry, haha when you posted it I was saving it for this reason. Nice title for it btw "you_damn_noobs" haha

haha, its all good. and yeah, the title is my favorite part when people notice it hahahaha.

Now who would ever wanna go up?

thinking like a champ.

what about teins?

lol dude, I think we're the only two that realize that they're telling us to do two contradicting things.

teins are made differently, as previously stated. there are no height adjustable bottom mounts on teins, so you raise and lower them via the spring perches.

the reason thats "bad" is because it limits the travel of the shock with the lower you go. with the ksport/f2 design, it allows the shock to always have full travel since youre adjusting the height of the mount, and not the spring. which then results in a better ride quality. not that my full stiff ksports ride smoothly, but for being as low as i am, they ride damn good...and just as they should.

the reason you still get locking rings for the spring perch is so that you can add some preload to the springs...aka make them stiffer. at the very least, when the coilover is unloaded, the springs should be just snug against the tophats, and you can tighten them from there as much as you can/want, or to where your car is set up the best for whatever youre using it for. they shouldnt ever be loose to the point where you can easily move them around with your hand when fully unloaded, because at that point, youre losing shock travel.

Yes the bottom mounts will be bolted on the car. It seems that most on this post though prefer...taking off a wheel, unbolting the fork nut, loosening lower mount perch, twisting lower mount, tightening the perch, putting nut back on, putting on wheel and seeing adjustment change made instead of doing what Ken suggested.

But to each their own, as long as you're doing the job properly with no issues...end of the day it'll be the same result.

Actually the correct way to do it is to loosen C and turn A with the spanner wrenches. You don't even need to loosen the 14mm to adjust the coils.

That's how I adjust mines and that is the way Ken(NaSOHC) advises to do it.

It DOES NOT affect or adjust your spring load, so you don't have to worry.
