Wow, that's a lot of power NA! Bisi is ridiculous when it comes to Honda's. He knows them inside and out. That's why I got my cam and cam gear from him, and will continue to go through him for mods :)

Well all im gettin now from him is the cam gears. His cams are too big for boost. Your cam is too big for anything, according to the specs you gave. Youll def get 250whp

Lol. I posted them up because they were so much more aggressive than advertised.

H22 vs. F23 turbo

Hey guys, I've been signed up on here, h-t.com, e-h.com and I've always been trying to figure out what would be the most cost-effective route of getting more power. It seems that H22 swaps are becoming more common among 6th generation accords. I'm wondering how much it actually costs all said and done from those of you who actually have done it or have a good estimation on what it would be?

Since most people probably say that turboing the F23 would yield more power (Maybe 220HP at 8psi if fortunate vs. 190HP) and be more cost effective than swapping in an H22 would be $4000-5000 from what I've seen on most of the forums that I'm signed up on vs. $2000-2700 for a turbo set-up on a stock block at 8psi, I can get a hondata unit and tuned for $500 from a place my buddy is close with in relationship to the owners. So if I could get an h22 and installed for around $3000 then I rather just do that because an H22 is just as reliable and has more potential than an F23 from the beginning.

So what would be the better choice based on price and power? An F23 at 8psi on a good tune will only last so long and it's more likely that a used H22 will last longer indefinitely. And is it true that an F23a4 has a different compression ratio and pistons comparing it to the F23a1? I've heard a rumor that it does and I originally thought/heard that the only differences between the F23a4 and F23a1 is the exhaust manifold, the full exhaust components, and the ECU settings.

Re: H22 vs. F23 turbo

I would never, ever go with an H22 over a properly set up turbo f23. You could build the f23 to handle plenty of power for the same price as a lightly modded H22.

Re: H22 vs. F23 turbo

What do you mean what am I looking for? I have several questions in my post, I want to know what an h22 swap is install and all, how much turboing a stock f23 block relatively reliably other then what I think it would be, and whether the F23a4 has different pistons and compression ratio?

Then why dont you search?

You need to post some of your limits. Like money, power wise. All that good stuff. That way it would limit your options and help us help you.

Re: H22 vs. F23 turbo

There is a countless number of people who get on here and ask: "how much for an H22 swap" or "How much will a turbo cost."
The answer: "It all depends" it depends what amount of work you can do yourself, if you know someone who has a shop, if you expect to pay somebody to do the whole thing, how much you spend on the H22, etc.. there is NO EXACT ANSWER.
F23 Turbo would be cheaper and easier.............end of story.
I do NOT think the F23A4 has different pistons & compression ratio either. It has less power stock and was made to be more restrictive - (ULEV"ultra low emissions vehicle" - F23A4 vs. LEV "low emissions vehicle" F23A1)

Anyone who gets on here and asks "how much will it cost?" needs to do research for themselves. Period.
