Rotiforms are meh... After working in the wheel industry I don't think I'd want wheels like theirs, ADV.1s, etc. Seriously way overpriced along with other details that I won't get into.
If you want really nice quality wheels that actually reflect their price tag stick to the top tier Japanese brands.

But don't Rota wheels have the Japan Light Alloy Wheel stamp on them the same as other "real" wheels do. Meaning they have to pass the same safety feature as other wheel companies do. I know Rota may steal certain designs from other companies but Advan and Volk both have an identical wheel out. I'm sure there are other big name companies that do the same. Rota wheels may be cheap but that doesn't mean they are bad. ALL wheel companies have their flaws and not every wheel can stand up to what mother nature throws at it. Expensive wheels can break and crack just like the off-brand wheels.
I will probably buy "real" wheels later down the road but I think that Rota has done quite well with their products and their name is more known than other certain companies. I just can't afford wheels like that right now or I would definitely jump on a set. (especially your wheels!)

I will tell you that after working in the industry, there are way more factors that go into making wheels than a little stamp that says JWL/VIA lol. It's good that they're approved though. I'd rather run a set of wheels that do pass those safety standards than a set of wheels that don't (assuming the quality is roughly equal).
Buy what you like in the end. It's your money, not my money. I'm just saying that if you're looking at high quality wheels, Japanese wheels are NOT overpriced. All the wheels that are in with the stanced crowd like Rotiform ARE. The manufacturing methods, materials, and workmanship of top tier Japanese brands is superior to a lot of other wheel manufacturers. And that's where I'm going to leave it.
